| Sanna is a fifteen year old girl who loves horses. But somehow she feels at odds with the world around her. She finds it hard to concentrate at school, she fights with her parents and she doesn't even get along with her ridinginstructor. She has a crush on one of the most popular boys at school, but if he even notices her it is only to say that she smells of horses. But one day something happens which changes her life dramatically. Late one night a few thorough-bred horses arrive on a plane They are a giftto the army from a foreign government. They are installed at a stable not far from where Sanna's house is. Passingby one day. she hears the horses and sneaks inside. In her heart she dream sthat she could have a horse of her own, like the black Arab stallion Sherdil. She is shocked and surprised to hear that the horses are going to bekilled. With desperate determination she manages to liberate at least Sherdil and escapes with him hiding in a deserted house in the woods. After a dramatic chase away from police and army helicopters the adventure ends happily after all. The idea to the story of the movie is based on a real event when three horses were brought to Sweden and on account of quarantine regulations had to be killed. Many people were very upset and Gita Mallik decided to base an adventure story on what had happened. |
