Caravan Film is a London based independent film production company. We shoot documentaries for British Television as well as feature films for the international market. We often work closely with writers and screenwriters to develop scripts and stories, as well as writing and developing our own scripts. We shoot on many formats, including video, DV, HDV s16mm and 35mm film stock. We also enjoy the post production process where we have strong skills in motion graphics, CGI and advanced grading. We have a wide base of freelancers that we bring in regularly, ranging from production assistants, photographers and researchers to animators, motion graphic designers, drawing artists and storyboard artists. Work for our freelancers varies between commissioned creative projects, in house project development or corporate films that we produce.

cinematographer

Mårten @ IMDB

Mårten Nilsson

Mårten Nilsson is a cinematographer and camera operator that has been working with us for over 15 years (!). The start of this long and happy relationship was when filming David’s debut film “Vackert Väder” (aka “Summertime) and it all turned out so well that we went on to do two more features and one short film together. Summertime, Night Bus 807, Lithivm and Svitjod 2000 can all be watched under clips on the site.

Kenneth Cosimo

Kenneth Cosimo is a composer that has made the soundtrack for our features Night Bus, Lithivm and Flip A Coin. We were introduced to Kenneth through Mårten and ever since, we have worked closely together. Kenneth’s highly original sound works really well with the style of our film making. You could say it’s perfect match! Apart from other film and theatre work, Kenneth composes a lot of his own music. You can have a listen on Kenneth's Myspace page or his homepage at Institue for Highspeed Art. Find both links under his picture.

Joachim Cohen

Joachim Cohen has been working with us ever since the good old Sweden-days. Joachim is still based in Sweden, but we soon realized that an easyjet flight could seprate us, and broadband internet would help Joachim from always delivering what we need when we need it. He has composed a lot of the soundtracks for our films with a speciality for the documentaries, but also our corporate film work. Samples of his work can be heard on his website.

Zakaria Boumediane

Zakaria Boumediane is very talented and still quite young 3D artist and animator, who a while ago thought it would be a good idea spending school holidays doing internships at caravan film in London. It paid off.

After graduating from ESMA in 2007 we offered Zak a long term freelance position. Zak worked continuously with us for over a year and has now established himself in Soho, where he currently works for Moving Picture Company as a texture artist. But we're not letting him off that easy - Zak is still involved in many of our ongoing projects.
Watch his graduation film Replay for a taster.

some of Salva's Work

Salvador Maldonado

Salvador Maldonado is our animator and compositor. 2D, 2.5D, hand-drawn, stop-motion - you name it. Throw anything at him and he'll make it move. Salva joined the Caravan team in October 2007. After completing a massive project together, which meant many late nights fueled by espressos, whisky and unspeakable amounts of red wine, we knew that Salvador had what it takes to be a part of the Caravan crew. Salvador has since then worked with us on many of our corporate projects, and some documentaries, developing graphic styles and working his after effects magic. He recently directed a short film for Agile Films which can be viewed through the link above.
